This 17th century tower house located on the East Neuk of Fife has had a long and fascinating history. The current owners of the house, the McCallums, have meticulously restored the property to its glory years with the help of Simpson & Brown and many trusted craftspeople.
Izat Arudell were approached by the McCallums to help develop the designs of a new kitchen wing and take the project through to construction with the help of Carpenter Oak. The timeless design aims to complete this magical property by creating a new kitchen and dining room, with a seamless connection to the magical gardens.
It was important to the family to use and source local materials and we have been working in close collaboration with a highly skilled team of designers and carpenters at Carpenter Oak who will create the oak flitch frame structure, ceiling and joists throughout the space entirely from oak sourced from local Scottish estates.
